today

My intentions here are 2 fold. 1, for those of us who grew up and around 5125 this is what we have been used to.
but a couple of weeks ago, with grandma and grandpas blessing, the old grape vine came down. you can see that the boys are thrilled with the extra space.
intention # 2. To show you all out there in blog land that we do actually stay home and my kids do play in our yard.
alond with the de-vine job David also built a gate to block our gangway. It is so great to keep Gray in and the dog next door out!
go north side! oh how my mom would have loved this, her grandbabies loving the cubs.

Tuesday

I have a confession. I am pulling a Wendy, blogging when I have piles of work infront of me, check book to be balanced, bills to be payed, emails to be looked at, yep all this is for you guys out there. And while I'm spilling my guts as I was posting, well this morning, I realized we are really busy. I mean this is a really busy time for us and our summer is totally booked already which I don't like, but well I guess it's how I like it. hanging on by a very thin thread. Just a step away from crazy thank God my kids are on board with it. I suppose 4 kids = craziness, love it. actually I know I'm nuts we have been going non stop and here is me trying to figure out when we came squeeze in a bike ride. well todays fun had a purpose, yes B had an ortho appt. And that means a visit to uncle dan and aunt sarahs house. Dr. Dan gave B much pain! So back to the picture funny hue what great timing.
my pictures aren't really good. Sarahs are way better.

then we met th Lourias at IKEA for lunch and then to Target for camp shopping lots of fun. well then we came home to do camp laundry, I have done 10 loads so far. 4 kids= mountains of laundry! well I'm off to switch my laundry and unhappily get to my paper work, note the time I'm starting, 1:27 am oh boy no sleeping when heavy is at the fire house. hope this has been a welcome break for you as well. Tammy

Monday

for the condap girls last day we had a pool party at our friends house. it was a perfect end to an unbelievable week.

enjoying some leftover wedding cookies.
This one is for Frank, we call these frank shirts. isn't he cute.

Sunday

Do you recognize her? Carrie (Thieme) had a surprise party. I hadn't seen her since O was born. It was such a wonderful time David and I were her oldest friends there, I was proud of the title.she has 3 kids and is pg with #4, looks like it hua. funny for a girl who never wanted kids. she also is a doula which I find facinating, I told her its what I always wanted to be when I grow up. I do not know where I could squeeze that in to my schedule but what an awsome job right.
so families were invited and no kidding the adulds were out numbered probably 2 to 1. The kids quickly made friends and were sad when we left, the 2nd to last ones, funny thing is how we only knew carrie walking in but met so many people. 1 lives 1 mile from our house, many of them know mutual people so many live in chicago which is surprising because they live in Bolingbrook and are you ready for this still go to MOODY CHURCH! yes I called Wendy and told her she wasn't the driving winner anymore.
It was a great day. I was so tierd and knew it would be good to see Carrie, but it turned out wonderful! God is so awsome old friends, complete strangers, no matter.

The day after.

Chris came in for Brooke and Mikes wedding, glad to say he fit right back in our home. we miss the little fella.
back at church for the tear down yippie, I think this photo is funny she threw them donw only to have to clean them up.
this is what the boys did, after thier work was mostly done
now thats fun
this is as far as the girls get.

All caught up!

Thanks to our "geek" friend our computer is back. almost 3 am but I am caught up. enjoy. We really do have as much fun as it looks like!

mooch

tonight we tried out the chocolate fountain for the wedding
yummy, except after the 2nd strawberry liv informed me "I don't really need the fruit, I just want the chocolate" so then she just dipped her spoon in the fountain.
I just think this one is so cute.
this is aunt lynns list of things to get done for the wedding, livs added her own to do list. click to read it.
kinda looks like troubleI think.

Brookes shower

Saturday

we had a graduation party right by the fire station so David got to drop in. then after the party we took a tour of station 16. This was fun since many who came with us had never been.
Kira was nervous of the ambulance so the good fire fighter put her at ease pretending to work on Joey.
I think we have another fireman in the family.

Aunt betty has been over run with our 17 year visitors! And we stopped by to see them, the boys screamed and ran in the house, liv was totally in to them, G, well was just trying to figure it all out.
we went down to north ave. beach for a picnic dinner tonight, it was great until the sky opened up on us! oh yeah we were making a mad dash back to my truck. The 2 little ones were totally dry the rest of us not so much. actually I love playing in the rain so for me and the boys it was just a big adventure, David, well did get the most wet and didn't enjoy it as we did. on the way home, bummed that our night was cut short,we followed a fire engine to a fire and saw chicagos finest at work. What a bonus.
he asks to have his picture taken now. He had a few poses with hippo, his most loved buddy. this was my fav.

big boy

so one day last week Gray showed up at my bed and said with a huge smile " look mom I'm up" meaning to say look mom I climbed out of my bed. well now that he had it figured out he wasn't about to stay in. so we took off the front to make it a toddler bed.
"hooray a big boy bed" well even after saying this to him 100x he wasn't sure of it. Infact what is not pictured is him finally going to sleep at 10:00 in the pack and play. He hates the "broken bed" he "loves his baby bed" poor guy, but I don't feel it's very safe to have him freely climbing in and out of the crib. so for now we will cross our fingers and keep saying hooray a big boy bed.

cousins

today Kira came over for a play date, what a treat!
played outside, inside, did hair, had little bbq,
and topped it off with ice cream picnic and playing at the park.
