Chris came in for Brooke and Mikes wedding, glad to say he fit right back in our home. we miss the little fella.

tonight we tried out the chocolate fountain for the wedding
yummy, except after the 2nd strawberry liv informed me "I don't really need the fruit, I just want the chocolate" so then she just dipped her spoon in the fountain.

we had a graduation party right by the fire station so David got to drop in.
then after the party we took a tour of station 16. This was fun since many who came with us had never been.
Kira was nervous of the ambulance so the good fire fighter put her at ease pretending to work on Joey.
I think we have another fireman in the family.
Aunt betty has been over run with our 17 year visitors! And we stopped by to see them, the boys screamed and ran in the house, liv was totally in to them, G, well was just trying to figure it all out.
we went down to north ave. beach for a picnic dinner tonight, it was great until the sky opened up on us! oh yeah we were making a mad dash back to my truck. The 2 little ones were totally dry the rest of us not so much. actually I love playing in the rain so for me and the boys it was just a big adventure, David, well did get the most wet and didn't enjoy it as we did. on the way home, bummed that our night was cut short,we followed a fire engine to a fire and saw chicagos finest at work. What a bonus.
he asks to have his picture taken now. He had a few poses with hippo, his most loved buddy. this was my fav.
so one day last week Gray showed up at my bed and said with a huge smile " look mom I'm up" meaning to say look mom I climbed out of my bed. well now that he had it figured out he wasn't about to stay in. so we took off the front to make it a toddler bed.
"hooray a big boy bed" well even after saying this to him 100x he wasn't sure of it. Infact what is not pictured is him finally going to sleep at 10:00 in the pack and play. He hates the "broken bed" he "loves his baby bed" poor guy, but I don't feel it's very safe to have him freely climbing in and out of the crib. so for now we will cross our fingers and keep saying hooray a big boy bed.
today Kira came over for a play date, what a treat!
played outside, inside, did hair, had little bbq,
and topped it off with ice cream picnic and playing at the park.
the kids all gave me dates for mothers day. on tuesday me and liv had ours, pedicure and manicure, like a piece of heaven!

oops I forget that I have to post backwards. well the bike ride came first, then we went to wendy's for our annual bbq. but this year had some additions, saige and kendells bithday party,and the Condap girls were there how fun!
so I do not know who this bug thing came from, it isn't me or David. yep cicada time.
we got up and out to celebrate the holiday. yes that is Taylor we gave him a bike and he jioned right in.
Gray always wants to see " the big bean" everytime we get on our bikes so here we are again at millennium park.
a new earth art, I call it, this one is cool it has solar panels and things that light up inside. I think there is stll more because we saw more in the soldier field parking lot.
we went to navy pier for the memorial day fireworks after church.should go without saying they were fabulous.
the state meet, well we didn't make the finals, sad, but it was still some great running.
this was just as they were loosing thier cool. our kids did so well, 6 hours x2 days in the stands they all did well, as well as I did.
hotels bring there own fun.
I just might be addicted! I LOVE our family bike rides and this was a perfect day for it.
we started at the zoo and ended at the museum campus with stops along the way.
this is the chicago art for this summer, globes so far this was my favorite, but they haven't finished putting them all out yet. oh well we will just have to go down to see them again.
we came home to have a backyard bbq, the perfect end to a great day.
