One of our fav's

ah Daley plaza at Christmas

a lovely end with some very yummy, very expensive cinnamon nuts. And believe it or not we were down there all day and these are all my photos.

Last Saturday, what a great day.

we went out to the Lourias to pack up boxes for 25 soldiers for Christmas. every one helped.

then it was snow time.
now the older kids did a kind of Bear Grylls thing building a fire a shelters, while snowing!

the 3 oldest were out there for 4 1/2 hours straight. And only came in because dinner was ready the cold and dark didn't mean anything to these survivors.

we stayed in and made the cookies Gray picked at Jewel no roughing it for us.
a little uno by the fire side
everyone gets a Christmas card Sky made with book mark, Bible and gum.
the big kids did the snack portion of the gift. It was a great winter day, "the perfect Saturday"

After 42 years there will be a new head coach in town!

Yep, at the Fenwick banquet on Sunday coach Polka announced that after the 08 season he will step down after 42 years of the program he started. And the new head coach will be coach Rill. To which the parents gave a standing ovation, much to Davids embarasment you know he HATES the spot light! (for real he does). And keep in mind that in 2010,.2 years, Brixton will be there also so our life has already began the change.

homework

Olivia read to grandma for part of her homework today.

one tree up.

we put up Liv and Grays tree today. For some reason she has been so excited to have a tree topper on her tree. so it got put up first.

we put the changing table to a new use.

The Melrose hill is open!

ghetto hill, ghetto sled.
actually David was at the fire house and we couldn't get the sleds out without him. So hey whatever works.
bundles of fun.

The Botanic Gardens

now this was cool! These chicago landmarks are made of all natural items. With several trains traveling around.
you know how Gray loves the bean at millenium park
Brooke and Gray playing bingo

Sky by the museum of science and industry
this was grays photo of this little bug train infront of the american girl doll store, crate and barrel is the one on the left

this was outside, and my favorite part
the snow was a wonderful addition from God

and then we went home and did our first shovel of the year. you can see that they are pushing all the snow to one side getting ready for the Melrose sledding hill!
