Saturday my birthday part 2.

we went to the botanic gardens.it was a great day, tulips are up sun was too what more could I ask for.

We went to see the frairs run last night. Now i'm not sure but is'nt outdoor track supposed to be a warm sport? not lovin the winter coats in April.
the kids spent most of the meet under the stands, big fun.
so the guys are doing great this season. One of his runners broke a 30 year school record last night, a sophmore, bring on the next two years! maybe no big deal to you but to the coach this is huge!

today was Brixtons day at Dr. D. and that means play time for liv and gray with madison, saywer and mary grace. Gray had no interest in the photo but I do think this is Madisons best. she usually runs when she sees me pull out the camera.

My hero

for those of you, like me, don't get to see David as a fireman here you go. We drove by the spot where they were training today. the pictures are from my truck I didn't want him to get into trouble for us being there.He is in the tan gear.
so he really is a fireman hua. It's kinda wierd it's a part of his life I never get to see. Actually it was bitter sweet seeing him do what he loves, he loves search and rescue, but the thought of that building being on fire as he crawls in well gives me shivers. God is good he has kept him safe and given me the peace I need to let him go every 3rd day. It did have an affect on B as well, I could see the same stuggle happening in his mind.
Having said all that deep emotional stuff we are proud of him and he LOVES his job! and to see him in action was a rare treat for us all. Hey if I was in danger he is who I would want coming in for me. He is the greatest!

the Condap girls came for brookes shower, unfortunatly I didn't get any of Jenna. We did however get two of the flower girls to practice smiling for the camera!
this is them playing "soarin" (Disney world) hours, even days, of fun right there.
quatro was going crazy last night. the boys got excited about feeling the little one jab Courtney.
as we left one night. For those of you who don't know Jenny all the way to the left is Kyles fiancee. wedding in Nov. busy year for the Mechers, two weddings and a baby, fun fun fun!

Gray didn't go to the shower but he picked these out for her all by himself! he caried that ladle around the entire store. I offered him other options, but nope I guess he is hoping for some soup and cupcakes from your new kitchen Brooke.


so we are coming home I have what seems like 20 bags hanging off of me and gray stops infront of the bushes and says "mom take a picture" not paying much attention just trying to make it up the stairs he stayed right there and said again "mom take my picture. Don't we look cute here?" well how could I pass that up? down go the 20 bags dig out the camera, you know it's never far from me, and her it is. Don't they look cute there?

20 years strong!

"so happy together" yep thats right 20 years solid David and I have been a couple. Hard to believe we have been together longer than not. I know you have all heard the story, but it was good friday when I had my change of heart. He told me "if we ever break up we will not get back together" and here we are 20 big years later. I love our story and I love Gods plan in bringing us together way back then. we are a little lets say thicker now, but still have the same happy in love smiles.

Holy Moses!

The ARK performed "holy moses" tonight. Brixton, Skylar, Kendell and Tristan all performed. It was a sensation.

The Rills excel at the pine wood derby.

Skylar made it to the semi finals with his tank car, not bad for year one.
Brixton came home with some hardware! 1st place for style! check our master pieces out.

Tuesday we are out again.

we went to Kohls childrens museum ,moved and much improved, with courtney and caleb.
the water works always a favorite

but next time we go it will be straight to the music room! Gray and Caleb are drummers extrordinare.

Monday.

today we drove out to saiges school with Justy ,Janett and Jocelyn Bekius. Justy gave Saiges class a sigh language lesson it was very fun seeing what words 5 year old want to know in sign.
after we were done wendy let saige get out of school early so she could come with us, we went for ice cream yummy.

It's Easter Sunday!

sorry I forgot to turn this one.So I am so sad because I had this great picture to show you all that Kendell took of Gray and some how in the coarse of today it got DELETED. I am more than unhappy. so let me set the scene for you. there was no sunday school program at Bethel this year instead only the little kids went first in the 11 o'clock service to do the regular thing. I was worried Gray would not say his piece, he had had a hard morning. so he got up on stage, great not crying were doing ok, but he's all the way at the end so well wait and see. when to my surprise there infront of oh 400 plus, the entire church was FULL, he begins to pick up his shirt and show everyone his belly button. oh and not just once we got about 7,8 views of it.now great news he did say his piece"but big enouph to say" so we did on a happy note. so not sure should I keep him off the stage for fear of what might be shown next, or just keep the video running and hope for the best?
