saturday at the corn maze.

Gray loved the hay, his allergies did not.
the maze was super muddy and this is clean compared to other kids.
our band played in the barn, but the hay made for some dusty singing.
I call them the magnets you can't keep them apart.

well do I have to say it? we went apple picking. let me say the baskets fill up very Quick when there are four kids filling them. we left with $56. worth of apples. I guess we'll call it a teaching moment for our kids then it will seem all worth it. It was really fun and yummy.

on a side note (no apples included) today Grayden opened a "childproof" jar of pills and took 5 before Sky stopped him. I called poison control no worries, it was his own allergy medicine, they said it would probably make him drowsy, not my boy it'll take more than an overdose to slow him down. But here is the thing we have to figure out how to channel his brain power for good. come on a one year old opening a 3 step bottle what am i in for?

it was a capture the flag party out at wendy and al's
about10 games in the light and the dark. hot dogs and smores it was the best party ever. hopefully the Lourias will have us again it was great!
only the Hankins brought extra shoes so everyone else went home in plastic bags. at wendys everytime you use a plastic bag you have to pray for the Penners. so we figure they must have needed a lot of prayers on Saturday!

Oh Grayden!

Well you can see his latest shoes. they are frog boots I found in the attic from B and Sky. They are on all day (includes sleeping) since Sunday. But as I was sitting here at my desk we checked out other blogs and he was saying jenna and kira and caleb and bobby he is such a talker then he picked up a credit card (actually a hotel room key) and said" hey mama a credit card". My heart sunk. my 1 year old knows the word credit card how sad. He does also know penny and money but those don't seem as bad. What will be next interest, breast cancer, versace? I tell you are kids are way more observant than we know and way smarter thats for sure.

Monday the 2nd. Field museum.

since we didn't really have much family time on Davids real birthday we took monday to celebrate. Her is B and Sue he was very interested since he just finished studing dinos in science.


We ate lunch on the lake (heros subs) went to the museum , BW3 for dinner and watched curious George and ate cookies. It was a great birthday.
