I didn't forget. our trip to Bonita beach.

we knew we were going somewhere we just didn't know where. so about 5 days before we left we nailed down Bonita beach and also decided to keep Taylor with us another week and take him along. so after 26 LONG so long hours of driving we arrived. we unloaded and showered, yeah, and went out to one of our favorites Charlies for dinner. as you can see above the daily special me and David ordered came with king crab legs. the boys were excited since we are such "deadliest catch" fans but when they brought them, well first we had to ask for instuction how to eat them, our waiter was very gracious with us midwesterners. but I was absolutely sickened by the sight of them I did try 1 taste but never have to see a plate of them set infront of me again, ever.
this is a bonita favorite doc's and eating on the beach while the sun sets is awsome, but the owners being chicago transplants must have lost their chicago pizza recipe in the move, it was not yummy.
it was great fun having 4 boys.
this is Doc's beach
I just love this one. I think it could be some kind of cubs ad or something.

a day out

we found a pamphlet for this "great" place. after we left The Shell Factory we crumpled up the pamphlet and put it in the trash! The pictures are way nicer than it really is.
this was our savior the bumper boats now that WAS fun it was really like 102 and the water was welcome.

Olivia and I got the most wet drenched dripping soaked, all of the above!
something went wrong with Skys boat so we got a free game you could so make this thing it was amusing

loving the pool. it was nice cool 80 degrees.
we even swam in the rain
ah , so nice to have a built in photo taker.we went out to the beach at night
turned in to a night swim in our clothes.

our day at sanibel and captiva

we started at the "world famous Bubble Room" always a fun place to eat, however I recommend dinner over lunch if your going to visit. Then we just drove down sanibel and found the nicest of the public beaches and spent hours swimming , in 90 degree water, finding shells, the are known for great shells, and just as we were getting out a dolphin came right up to the spot we had just been so cool 10 feet away.

if you gotta nap this is the spot.
a little ice cream dinner at DQ yum.
a cool pier on fort myers boy it was HOT!
2 of the boys READING poolside. they had a little schedule something like 15 min. read 10 min. in the pool 12 min to suntan, drink break, then back to 15 read and on and on.
liv had the best find at low tide this day, a star fish and a sand dollar. the boys were green with envy.

the dog races, this was actually really fun! however we didn't really fit in with the crowd.
our last dinner out.
we went back to walk the low tide but as you see the sky behind us kept us from that F-U-N.
we did however still have fun.

on our drive home we stopped in atlanta to see hank aarons home run record. it was quite cool and a nice break from the van ride.

another "oh Grayden" moment

he was acting silly tonight, not unusual, but wanted us to call him SCOOBIS all night. many times he will have us call him scooby but this was a new one.he didn't go to bed right away we had to take turns telling him to go to sleep. so David came home from a meeting at church goes in to kiss him and comes out and asks "did you see gray? why? well he had taken off his pjs and diaper and climbed up to the top drawer of his dresser to get out and put on his swim diaper and swim suit! I guess he hopes to swim tomorrow. we will see what he says in the morning. good night scoobis!

ah life is good!

we went down to navy pier last night for dinner and fireworks. It rained all day but stopped just in time for us. And sadly we drove down, we rode our bikes on Friday and monday and my hip didn't like that very much. Kendell rode with us both times which was great.
