we got to the hospital at 9 am and put into this
pre op room, all ready with our hospital
pjs and fire truck slippers
10:30 time for surgery, David got to take him back and stay until he fell asleep, in about 60 seconds he was snoring, true.
here we are after in our own room. the post op room was a little hard coming out of the "nap"
of coarse drinking was no problem for my boy, he couldn't leave until he drank 8oz, he drank about 20. nothing like chicken broth yum.
we watched toy story and we took turns who got the bed with him
the toy cart came by and he selected play dough, with his one hand
it was only just over 4 hours and we could go, given the great drinking. notice hippo was there the entire step of they day.
we came home to a wonderfully decorated sick bed thanks to B, sky,
liv,
courtney and
caleb not sure if
jackson helped out.
he even got visitors the same night how lucky is he. However when they came he exploded with excitement. It only took him 10 hours to break the Dr.s rules. They brought him a united states puzzle that they calmly put together and then he went on to karate chop the pieces to get them apart.
finally he slows down to
nemo
and they are gone it was along day and I'm glad it is over. We realized how blessed we are with our
childrens health today sitting next to moms and dads with their babies in heart surgery or replacing their permanent breathing tubes our tonsils seemed rather small in
comparison. But THANK GOD for Dr.s and modern medicine I do I do!
